CURRICULUM IN MALAYSIAN SCHOOL

This week were last week in this semester. We continue with one pair for this semester which is An and syafiqah. They choose the topic of doomsday. They prepared many teaching aid such as manila card, and they also make a spin plate for the activity. Their content is fill up with many input about the doomsday. And for the activity, we are divided into groups and should come in front to answer the question. They choose the interesting topic for lesson for today and we are enjoy learning the topic today.

For the last assignment is we have another test given by madam ftriah. And it is online test and we have to submit on friday before 5pm. And we have also have to submit oru Course Design Project which is my group event is 1000 Langkah ke hatimu. 

Last word for me is, you such a great lecturer for me madam. You are very nice and im always excited to attend your class. You always understand us and never complaint anything bad for us. Madam, hope we will meet again and really thank you for all of your knowledge that you had give us for this sem. Hopefully, can meet you again madam. Thank you for everything and Assamalamualaikum :) 


*For the last sentence I would like to thanks to madam Fitriah because she did her good job of the teaching and learning in whole semester. Thank you Madam ^_^ and I hope we will meet again in another subject . Love you <3.

EDU555 CURRICULUM AND INSTRUCTION:


CURRICULUM IN MALAYSIAN SCHOOL

For this week, we are continued with the another 3 pairs of presenter. First's turn were teacher Aisya and teacher Nurul teach about the subject of Kemahran Hidup Bersepadu from Form 1. They focused on the topic of agriculture which is on how to pant a chili plant. Both of them have explained clearly about the procedure and steps on how to plant a chili plant. It also new for me and challenge us much as i never plant before. For the activity each student are given a pair of gloves, a container and some soil and they should plant by their own based on the steps that teacher gives to them. All the students are enjoy planting the plant.

For the second pair is Teacher Asmira and teacher Atiah which is they teach about the ethics when at the table before eating. Before start the lesson, they shows the student a video about the manner of people when at the table. They also show in real about bad manner and also  show a good manner.. The explanation that both of the teacher are explain clearly and we do some practical for the  activity. Then they give us food and we have to demonstrate a proper manner to eat. It fun because they provide food so we can clearly understand by doing practical.  After all finished the teacher play music box which when the music is stop, the person who have the box with answer tecaher's question. Everyone were enjoy for their lesson.


The last presenter for today is teacher Akmal and teacher Zuhainiza which is they choose the topic about Ekonomi Asas. For the teaching aids they use the power point slide they put all the content clearly into the slides. For the activity classroom, students are given some newspaper and students should find some pictures in the newspaper related to the topic that we are learn today. Were are very excited to use the newspaper, cut and paste on the cardboard. We also have an argue with my group about the picture whether it can be put in the cardboard or not. If we found out that was not for our group we will pass to another group. This activity is can remembering the students on what going on about our issues nowadays. And each group should present the outcomes in front of the classroom. After presenting teacher ask question randomly about topic's today to get a feedback from students.

CURRICULUM IN MALAYSIAN SCHOOL

Hi, today was very nervous day for me as i am the first presenter for microteaching pair with guat rin. The presentation starts with Me and Guat rin. We start teaching with dancing and ask us to guess what the name of that dance is. Our dance movement were from Tarian Inang. After that we divide them into 2 groups and asked to create our own dance. It was a very fun activity and enjoying learning.
 
The next teachers were Syuhada and Fahira. They teach us about planets in solar system. The also come with a very fun activity. Students were asked to create a song to remember the sequence of planet from the sun. They also come with many interesting facts. They also correct the mistake about the arrangement of the planet solar. 

Next,  Fadzil and Asraf teach us mathematics and new formula. We can learn mathematics in an easier way. it was simple but it make us want to learn and become more eager to answer it. The teacher are very cool and have their own technique to deliver the contect well.
 
Amira and Aimashiha teach us to make sandwich inside the classroom. It was a very fun activity because it was students centered. The teacher just guide while all the students do the activity in group. At the end of the class we all can enjoy our own made sandwich. The best part was one of the group have to cat walk while bring our creative sandwich made by their own group. And teacher give an emoji to the group who has creative sandwich. It was fun and it also Slurppp, we are in a full tank in stomach. Thank you.


The last teacher for that class is Syahmi and Hadirah Alysha. They teach us about color and shapes. Their activity was fun because we were given paper to color in group. I excited to colour them using the colour and shape that they have given to us. The best part is my group have win the contest because we are doing it very nice and correct follow the instruction. 

Today's class was fun because we learn many thing today. I hope we will better next time. Thank you everyone :)

CURRICULUM IN MALAYSIAN SCHOOL

Today was a replacement class and we start our microteaching. It start with Aswad and Danial. They also teach about pendidikan Islam about the topic manners between family members. Their teaching was so exciting because we can get to do roleplay with our group mates. Our feedback for them is they need to be more confident and work more on their teaching aid. The words on the manila card were quite small and students at the back cannot read it.

Next, Lesley and Adira's turn.  They teach us about feeelings. They have a very good teaching aid and their activity is also interesting. They had very interesting and unique teaching aids and also they teach us akronim by singging. It attract me on their class. Thank you. My only recommendation is they must work on their class management because some students did not give attention when they were teaching. 
 
Hadi and Aiman was choose topic  islamic education. They teach us about how to wrapping the corpse before burial. They was do a demo and me was experiences that demo about how to wrapping the corpse. Hadi and Aiman was explain the step and others students was help they to do practical on akmal and aswad. They describe the meaning of shrouding, and explain about the steps of preparing shroud.  This is good because all of us can feel the real feeling and learn the basic need in islam.

Today we learn about the topic Evaluation Emphasis which is the element that we intergrated in the teaching and learning. The current change in today’s trend needs teachers and students to adapt with the change of situation. 


First, we are learned about the thinking skills which are divided into two which are critical thinking and creative thinking. For the thinking skills, it is important because it to enable the learners to analyse the information. For critical thinking, it is more to solve the problems skills. Second, learning on how to learn. When you as the teacher, you should asked the students to find out the solution on their own and this is automatically the students learn by themselves. Third, the ICT skill ( information and communication technology ). In teaching and learning process, there are many ways and many technologies that student can use to learn through it such as by using the slide of power point. Then we learn about multiple intelligent. The theory of multiple intelligences was developed in 1983 by Dr. Howard Gardner, professor of education at Harvard University. It suggests that the traditional notion of intelligence, based on I.Q. testing, is far too limited. Instead, Dr. Gardner proposes eight different intelligences to account for a broader range of human potential in children and adults. These intelligences are:

-Linguistic intelligence (“word smart”)

-Logical-mathematical intelligence (“number/reasoning smart”)
-Spatial intelligence (“picture smart”)
-Bodily-Kinesthetic intelligence (“body smart”)
-Musical intelligence (“music smart”)
-Interpersonal intelligence (“people smart”)
-Intrapersonal intelligence (“self smart”)
-Naturalist intelligence (“nature smart”)

CURRICULUM IN MALAYSIAN SCHOOL


Today in class we learn about assessment and evaluation during the class. I gain a new knowledge from today's class. Today i learnt about assessment. Assessment is the ways instructors gather data about their teaching and their students learning such as pre-tests, observations, and examinations. What I understand is assessment is the systematic process of documenting and using data on the knowledge, skills, attitudes and beliefs. By doing assessment, teachers can try to improve student learning. While evaluation is to make judgment to determine the overall value of an outcome based on the assessment data.  This topic very important because to determine the outcomes of the program,  to help in future development of the curriculum material and to improve methods of teaching and instructional techniques. Evaluation focuses on grades and may reflect classroom components other than course content and mastery level.If we think our  method of teaching is not relevant to apply we can change our method to improve our lesson. On this topic, we also learn the types of assessment which are formative and summative  assessment. Formative assessment is about assessment that we need to do when on going program and summative is assessment that we need to do after the program. Intended curriculum refers to the objectives set at the beginning of any curricular plan.  Teacher must complete the goal, specific purposes and immediate objectives to be accomplished in classroom. CURRICULUM IN MALAYSIAN SCHOOL

Today we learn another two model which are Taba's model and cotemporary model. This related with our curriculum development.  The strength of Taba's model  is gives teachers a greater role by not just making them implementers of the curriculum but also developers, and gives importance to objectives in order to establish a sense of purpose for deciding what to include, exclude and emphasize in a curriculum. For the weakness on this theory is teachers may also find it difficult to strike an acceptable balance among the needs and interests of students and It often relies on the teacher's ability to create or select materials appropriate to learners' expressed needs. 

Then at the end of the class, teacher brief about course design project which is our major project that we have done by group. After being discuss whit my group we proceed with our program which is ''1000 langkah ke hatimu. There are many activities we want to create from that and it i was very excited to do it.
