CURRICULUM IN MALAYSIAN SCHOOL



The definition of curriculum is the combination of instructional practices, learning experiences, and students' performance assessment that are designed to bring out and evaluate the target learning outcomes of a particular course. Curriculum can be know as is plan of study and heart of school. Without curriculum every education system in school will not function well.

The current Malaysian school education system is based on KSSR and KSSM. KSSR or Kurikulum Standard Sekolah Rendah is a plan of study for a period of six years. Meanwhile, KSSM or Kurikulum Standard Sekolah Menengah is a plan of study for Malaysian Secondary school for a period of five years.

There are 4 types of Curriculum in Malaysian schools which is curriculum. Curiculum ia a plan of study some how like lesson plan before enter the class, A documented or academic in nature. The second type is Co-Curriculum which is can be defined as activities outside the classroom to support the curriculum and it is compulsory such as like sport, games and uniform bodies. This is personal or individual development. Then. the third type of Curriculum in Malaysia schools is extra -curriculum as this is activities outside the classroom but not compulsory. The last type were hidden curriculum which it contains moral values, informal learning inside and outside the classroom and unwritten.
